学院简介

INTRODUCTION

吉林大学是国内最早开展计算机专业人才培养和科学研究的单位之一。我国人工智能奠基人之一，教育家、数学家、计算机科学家王湘浩院士于1958年创建控制论专业，1976年创建计算机科学系，1977年在国内率先开拓了人工智能研究方向，在我国计算机学科创建与发展过程中起到了举足轻重的作用。2001年，合校后新组建计算机科学与技术学院。

吉林大学计算机科学与技术学院拥有一支实力雄厚、知识和年龄结构合理的师资队伍。现有教职工260余人，192名教师中，教授60人、副教授73人，具有博士学位占比86%，国家级高层次人才计划7人次，进入学校唐敖庆学者人才序列23人，省部级人才称号100余人次。

学院具有良好的学科声誉和坚实的学科基础，拥有“计算机科学与技术”和“软件工程”两个一级学科博士学位授权点，具有国家首批博士点、国家首批博士后科研流动站、首批国家重点学科、首批国家示范性软件学院；持续承担211重点建设学科和985科技创新平台，学科建设工作与学校引领“三大工程”紧密配合，计算机科学与技术进入学校6+6+4+X的一流学科建设体系，位于4个重点培育学科之列，ESI计算机学科排名位于世界前千分之五。

学院以理论研究为基础，面向国家战略和地方需求，充分发挥吉林大学学科门类齐全优势，在学科原有基础研究优势上，重点开展应用基础和交叉学科研究。在人工智能、软件与理论、计算机网络、信息安全、高性能计算、生物信息学、智慧海洋和国防科技等方面取得了国内外公认的科研成果，形成了理论探索与应用基础研究的鲜明特色，处于国内领先和国际先进的行列。这些成果应用于农业、汽车、信息安全等吉林省支柱产业，取得重大经济、社会和生态效益。

学院拥有2个国家级实验教学中心、3个教育部重点实验室和工程中心、10个省级的科研平台和7个校级科研平台，硬件条件处在全国相关学科中的前列，为学科的人才培养和科学研究奠定良好基础。

学院设有计算机软件与理论、计算机应用技术、计算机系统结构和软件工程4个博士点，以及电子信息专业博士点；设有计算机软件与理论、计算机应用技术、计算机系统结构和网络与信息安全4个硕士点；设有计算机科学与技术、网络空间安全和物联网工程等3个本科生专业，以及基础学科拔尖学生培养试验计划本科试验班。目前拥有本科生2148人、硕士生665人、博士生285人，生源情况处于学校前列。学院始终以解决国家与社会迫切需求为己任，着力培养政治立场坚定、理论功底扎实、专业素质高的优秀人才，学生遍布教育、科研、政府机关、国防、产业界，涌现出一大批杰出代表。近年来，学院毕业生入选国家级优秀人才20余名，有多人担任重点高校计算机学院院长。

Jilin University is a nationally recognized pioneer and leader in computer science education and research. The College of Computer Science and Technology (CCST) ofJilin University plays a significant role in the establishment and development of China’s Computing Disciplines and is one of the first institutions to exploit Artificial Intelligence (AI) research in China. The history of CCST dates to the cybernetics program initiated in 1958 initiated by Academician Wang Xianghao, a founder of China’s Artificial Intelligence discipline. In 1976, he launched the Department of Computer Science and in 2001 it grew into CCST with the background of 5 universities merging.

CCST boasts anoutstanding and age-diverse faculty. It currently has more than 260 full-time employees, including a total of 197 faculty members that contains 60 professors and 73 associate professors. The faculty consists of 86% PhDs, 23 TANG AOQING talents honors, 7 national level and more than 100 provincial-level honorable outstanding teachers.

CCST achieves a discipline reputation and a solid foundation, with `Computer Science and Technology’ and `Software Engineering’ doctoral programs among the earliest doctor and post-doc programs, national key disciplines in Computing, and National Demonstration Software Colleges in China. It undertakes the construction of key disciplines of Project 211 and operates the scientific and technological innovation platform of Project 985. Involved in the `6+6+4+X’ first class discipline system of the university strategy, the discipline of computer science and technology is one the 4 key training disciplines, amongthe 5‰ in ESI world-wide.

The college focuses on the applied basic and interdisciplinary research with the full leverage of the advantages on fundamental theories and the complete disciplines in Jilin University, in need of the national and local strategies. It has made recognized scientific research achievements among the leading in China and internationally advanced. The achievements have been in artificial intelligence, software and theory, computer network, information security, high-performance computing, bioinformatics, smart ocean etc., and applied to pillar industries such as agriculture, automobiles, and information security, with significant economic, social, and ecological benefits.

CCST hosts 2 national demonstration centers of experimental computer teaching, 3 key laboratories and engineering centers of the Ministry of Education, and10 provincial research and development platforms. The hardware facilities rank the top among the related disciplines nationwide, which serve as a solid foundation for talent cultivation and scientific research. Itgets 4 doctoral, 4 master, 3 undergraduate programs and 1 undergraduate pilot class of the Mount Everest Program. Currently, there are 2148 undergraduate students, 665 master's students, and 285 doctoral students. In the past few years, more than 20 graduates have been selected as national level outstanding talents, with many serving as the dean of the School of Computer Science in key universities.
